When Do We Need ARCO?

ARCO is very important in the WD HDD ROYL repair. It functions similarly like the Seagate 02 optimization/SA optimization.
For ROYL drives which have been written with FW modules from other ROYL drives, these drives are required to run ARCO optimization. Otherwise, the 28 selftest process is difficult to continue, once there's an error, the selftest will jump directly to the last step-DC and the selftest stops.
For ROYL drives with their original FW modules, the ARCO optimization has been run during the manufacturing process. So we don't need to run ARCO again and we just need to run 28 selftest directly or we can run 46 optimization (User Area Optimization) and run selftest.
